Zona Experience – the “traditional” camp experience with practical breakout sessions, meaningful Bible studies, and exciting activities.
Mission Life - Mission Life is an off-campus mission experience for those students looking for a hands-on experience to serve others. Students will have multiple opportunities to partner with outside organizations in Riverside to help give back to and aid in the ongoing efforts of these partner organizations. An adult leader with sufficient transportation (proof of vehicle insurance required) for every student from their church that has signed up for this experience and a Mission Life form is required if anyone in your group chooses this Experience.
Impact - a dynamic, three-level leadership development track designed for high school students who are ready to take their faith and influence to
the next level. This track is perfect for students who currently serve in leadership roles, aspire to become leaders, or are more mature in their faith and eager to grow.
Worship Catalyst - an intensive experience designed for students with a deep passion for worship, particularly instrumentalist, vocalists, and tech team members. Through hands-on instruction, students gain practical experience in becoming effective worship leaders, receiving comprehensive training in various aspects. Admission is contingent upon an audition to ensure that students possess the necessary proficiency levels to fully benefit from this transformative experience.
Impact 1: The Calling
Discover what it means to be a leader and explore your unique calling. This level focuses on personal growth, leadership
development, and understanding how God has equipped you to serve.
Impact 2: The Church
Learn the importance of the church, your role within the body of Christ, and how to lead and serve effectively in a church context.
This level emphasizes teamwork, service, and the mission of the local church.
Impact 3: The Commissioned
Take your leadership skills beyond the church walls. This level equips you to share the gospel, engage in outreach, and make an
impact in the world. It focuses on practical evangelism and living on mission.
Participation in Impact requires youth leader / pastor approval, ensuring that students are prepared for the advanced content and challenges this track offers.
Guitar players (acoustic, electric, and bass) must bring their instruments to camp with them. Drums and keyboards are provided.
The Zona University classes are posted as part of the handbook in the middle of June.
The church must bring at least one leader per eight students.
With a live band, worship times will be loud and include varied lighting patterns. Anyone with sensory issues may wish to bring ear plugs or other
resources for their comfort. If individuals with sensory issues need a separate space to participate in worship, there will be a space just outside
of the worship area made available.
The CBU dining hall provides plenty of options at every meal, and the staff can provide a gluten-free option upon request. For additional questions and concerns, please reach out to Jessica.
Because Zona is on a college campus, our housing is college dorm/apartment style. Church leaders will have the opportunity to assign
their leaders and students in their designated housing block in June. The beds are TwinXL sized, and each person will be responsible for bringing
their own sleeping bag/bedding and pillow. Note that we are using empty college dorm rooms and apartments for housing, so it is a good idea to
bring hand soap, hand towels and anything else you will need from home.
