Why did Zona change location and dates?

Why did Zona Camp change location and dates?

California Baptist University, our traditional site, is undergoing a large construction project for the next 2 summers that will prevent their campus from accommodating outside camps.  Immediately after finding out about this, we began contacting other campuses to find a new location for Zona Camp.

Will the cost for Zona Camp change?

No, Zona's cost is going to remain the same.

What are some advantages to having Zona Camp at NAU?

1. Shorter drive time, which means a cheaper trip for your church group

2. More cafeteria options and larger space

3. Cooler weather, trees, and a beautiful campus

4. Better accommodations

5. Nearby adventure and hiking (white water rafting, high ropes, etc)

6. The opportunity to build relationships between our Convention and NAU

Why did Zona Camp not stay at a campus in California?

We contacted over 30 universities/colleges in New Mexico, Arizona, and California.  Almost all of those campuses could not host Zona Camp for various reasons (i.e. not large enough, no available dates, etc.).

Why did Zona Camp not stay at a Christian University?

We contacted over 30 universities/colleges in New Mexico, Arizona, and California. None of the Christian campuses could host Zona Camp for various reasons (i.e. not large enough, no available dates, etc.).

What changes can our church expect at NAU?

We are not completely sure what changes will be coming, but we can assure you that Zona's 4 Experiences (Zona, Impact, Worship Catalyst, and Mission Life) will continue.  The biggest changes are listed in the second question on this page and are actually advantages for your group.  We will notify you of any changes that will affect your group.  Zona Camp is committed to continuing to provide the highest quality and Biblically-driven Christian camp that is possible to provide.
